Kaldalón hf. has completed the buyback of its own shares through a reverse tender offer that was announced on 21 September.
Offers were received for 16,598,874 shares at a price of 24.0. It was decided to accept offers for the purchase of 16,500,000 shares at a price of 24.0, in the total amount of ISK 396,000,000. As offers were received in excess of the amount that was decided to be purchased, offers were accepted on a pro rata basis. The settlement date of the accepted offers is Thursday, 24 September.
The buyback is in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, including Act No. 2/1995 on Public Limited Companies, Article 5 of Regulation (EU) No. 596/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council on market abuse (MAR) and Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) No. 2016/1052 laying down regulatory technical standards concerning buy-back programmes, which have legal effect in Iceland pursuant to Act No. 60/2021 on measures against market abuse.
Following the aforementioned purchase, Kaldalón hf. holds 22,596,232 shares, or 1.8% of the issued share capital.
