INTERMARINE (GRUPPO IMMSI): INIZI ATA LA LAMINAZIONE DEL LO SCAFO
DELLA SECONDA UNITÀ CACCIAMINE DI NUOVA GENERAZIONE
DESTINATA ALLA MARINA MILITARE
Sarzana (SP), 30 luglio 2026 – Intermarine S.p.A. (Gruppo industriale IMMSI – IMS.MI) ha avviato, presso lo stabilimento di Sarzana, l’attività di laminazione dello scafo in vetroresina del secondo Cacciamine di Nuova Generazione commissionato dalla Marina Militare.
Il Cacciamine di Nuova Generazione di cui è iniziata la costruzione si inserisce all’interno del contratto sottoscritto nel 2024 tra Intermarine e Leonardo S.p.A. (nella forma di RTI) con la Direzione degli Armamenti Navali (NAVARM) per la fornitura di 5 Unità navali per la ricerca e la bonifica delle mine
- Cacciamine Nuova Generazione Costieri (CNG/C) e relativo supporto logistico integrato.
Il programma, che prevede il rinnovo della capacità cacciamine della Marina Militare, prosegue in un contesto geopolitico complesso, nel quale la minaccia delle mine navali compromette la libertà di navigazione e genera rilevanti ripercussioni economiche e commerciali in tutto il mondo.
La cerimonia di laminazione è avvenuta alla presenza del Direttore degli Armamenti Navali, Ammiraglio Ispettore Capo Cristiano Nervi e delle autorità civili del territorio, accolti dall’Amministratore delegato d el Gruppo Immsi, Michele Colaninno , dal Presidente e dall’Amministratore Delegato di Intermarine, rispettivamente Antonino Parisi e Livio Corghi , ed è stata anche l’occasione per mostrare, per la prima volta, lo scafo della prima unità attualmente in allestimento.
Grazie alla spiccata natura modulare del progetto e all’impiego delle più moderne tecnologie autonome, il Cacciamine di Nuova Generazione, potrà esprimere capacità innovative che ampliano in modo significativo il ventaglio delle missioni possibili, dalla caccia alle mine con la particolarità unica di poter operare in sicurezza all’interno di aree minate, al le operazioni cosiddette di seabed surveillance per il controllo e protezione delle infrastrutture critiche subacquee (i.e . oleodotti e gasdotti, elettrodotti e dorsali dati ) e la tutela dei beni culturali e dell’ambiente marino.
Il secondo scafo seguirà le fasi della prima u nità, assicurando alla Marina Militare un programma che ha l’obiettivo di fornire al Paese uno strumento per il contrasto alle mine navali, garantire la sorveglianza dei fondali marini, garantire il libero uso del mare e proteggere le infrastrutture critiche subacquee. In continuità con le precedenti unità Cacciamine di Intermarine, il nuovo progetto mantiene la particolare costruzione dello scafo e dell’intera struttura della nave in avanzati materiali compositi, frutto di un continuo studio che dagli anni ’70 ad oggi ha visto lo sviluppo di tre Classi di Cacciamine, molte delle quali ancora operative.
Alla tecnologia consolidata di uno scafo in grado di assicurare un’elevata resistenza a shock generati da esplosioni subacquee, amagnetismo e silenziosità, si unisce quindi l’innovazione tecnologica dei veicoli unmanned. La sinergia tra queste due tecnologie genera una soluzione integrata ad alta efficienza , progettata per offrire maggiore sicurezza, rapidità d’azione e una capacità operativa estesa a tutt a la dimensione subacque a, determinando un nuovo standard per gli assetti di contrasto alla minaccia delle mine navali.

INTERMARINE (IMMSI GROUP): LAMINATION OF THE HULL OF THE
SECOND NEW -GENERATION MINEHUNTER FOR THE ITALIAN NAVY BEGINS
Sarzana (La Spezia), 30 July 2026 – At the Sarzana shipyard, Intermarine S.p.A. (IMMSI industrial group – IMS.MI) has begun fibreglass lamination o f the hull of the second New -Generation Minehunter commissioned by the Italian Navy.
The construction of the latest New -Generation Minehunter refers to the contract signed in 2024 by Intermarine and Leonardo S.p.A. (acting as a temporary joint venture) with the Directorate of Naval Armaments (NAVARM) , for the supply of 5 mine detection and clearance vessels – New-Generation Minehunters/Coastal (NGM/C) – and related integrated logistical support.
Work on the program, which involves the renewal of the Italian Navy’s minehunting capability , is being conducted at a time of geopolitical complexity, when the threat posed by naval mines is compromising freedom of navigation and leading to significant economic and commercial repercussions around the world.
The lamination ceremony was held in the presence of the Director of Naval Armaments, Chief Inspector Admiral Cristiano Nervi , and the local civil authorities, who were welcomed by the Chair of the Immsi Group, Michele Colaninno, and by the Chair and CEO of Intermarine, Antonino Parisi and Livio Corghi . It was also the occasion for the unveiling of the hull of the first NGM/C, which is currently being fitted out.
Thanks to the modular nature of the project and the deployment of state- of-the-art unmanned system technologies, the New -Generation Minehunter will deliver innovative capabilities that significantly expand the range of possible missions, from minehunting – with the unique ability to operate safely in mined areas – to seabed surveillance operations for the monitoring and protection of critical underwater infrastructure (oil and gas pipelines, power cables and data backbones) and the safeguarding of cultural assets in the marine environment.
Work on the second hull will follow the same stages as the first unit, assuring the Navy of a program designed to provide Italy with a tool to combat naval mines, ensure seabed surveillance, guarantee free use of the sea, and protect critical underwater infrastructure. The new project retains the distinctive construction of the hull and the entire vessel structure in advanced composite materials of the previous Intermarine minehunters. This is the result of ongoing research which, from the 1970s to the present day, has seen the development of three minehunter classes, many of which are still in service.
The vessels combine the consolidated technology of a hull able to guarantee high resistance to underwater explosions, non- magnetism and silence with the cutting- edge technology of unmanned vehicles . The synergy between the two technologies creates a highly efficient integrated solution designed to offer greater safety, rapid response and an operational capability extending across the entire underwater dimension , setting a new standard for systems to counter the threat posed by naval mines.
