ENA V awarded contract in Greece to design new flight procedures at 31 airports
Rome, July 29, 2026 - ENA V , the Italian Air Navigation Service Provider, has been awarded a contract in Greece by the Hellenic Aviation Service Provider (HASP). This is the largest contract ever awarded by HASP for this type of activity.
Working together with its local partner, EFA Ventures, ENAV will support Greece's compliance with European regulations on Performance -Based Navigation (PBN) procedures, which rely on satellite navigation.
The project includes obstacle surveys across the territory and the design of new satellite -based instrument flight procedures for 31 Greek airports.

Specifically, ENA V will be responsible for the design, testing and validation of the new flight procedures, enabling aircraft to fly more precise, efficient and environmentally sustainable routes than those based on conventional navigation systems. EFA Ven tures will be responsible for terrain mapping, obstacle surveys and the collection of the data required for procedure design.
The contract also includes the review of 172 existing instrument flight procedures currently in use at the same airports. These procedures will be updated or redesigned, where necessary, to ensure operational continuity if satellite navigation services bec ome temporarily unavailable.
The project aims to align Greek airports with European regulations requiring Member States to progressively implement satellite -based flight procedures, with the objective of enhancing safety, increasing airspace capacity, improving operational efficiency and reducing environmental impact.
