1 Press release BCC Iccrea Group: completed the acquisition from BPER of six bank branches in the provinces of Varese and Como, in compliance with the authorization granted by the Italian Competition Authority in the context of the public exchange offer launched by BPER for Banca Popolare di Sondrio Rome, 18 September 2026 Further to the announcement made on 24 February 2026, the BCC Iccrea Group informs that the definitive agreements regarding the acquisition of six bank branches from BPER by two BCCs of the Group were signed today.
Four branches were acquired by BCC Busto Garolfo e Buguggiate and two branches by BCC Cantù.
The acquisition, carried out in compliance with the authorization granted by the Italian Competition Authority in the context of the acquisition and subsequent merger of Banca Popolare di Sondrio S.p.A. into BPER Banca, will take legal effect on Monday, 21 September 2026.
