Worthington Enterprises Highlights Measurable Results in 2026 Corporate Citizenship and Sustainability Report

COLUMBUS, Ohio, Sept. 17, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Worthington Enterprises Inc. (NYSE: WOR), a designer and manufacturer of market-leading brands that help improve everyday life by elevating spaces and experiences, today published its annual Corporate Citizenship and Sustainability Report detailing the company’s commitments, management approach and achievements within the categories of People, Planet, Products, and Governance and Partners. Throughout fiscal 2026, the company continued to advance its cross-functional sustainability strategy that aspires to balance people, planet and prosperity to meet the needs of today without compromising tomorrow.

Some of the notable accomplishments during fiscal 2026 included:

• Prioritizing safety by outperforming the industry average total case incident rate by 20%. Through the company’s LiveSafe occupational health and safety management system, Worthington Enterprises continued to strengthen a people-first safety culture where employees are empowered to identify risks, act and support one another’s well-being.
• Investing in employee engagement and development, with 83% participation in the annual employee engagement survey and an employee engagement score of 71%, an increase over fiscal 2025. The company also launched the John McConnell Leadership Academy to expand learning and development opportunities across career levels.
• Investing in communities and future talent through programs that connect people with career opportunities. The Worthington Companies Foundation contributed $3.8 million to 74 non-profit organizations, while 11 high school seniors graduated from the company’s Career Accelerator Program, earned industry-recognized manufacturing credentials and accepted full-time positions with Worthington Enterprises.
• Building momentum across operations through an Environmental Excellence program, which establishes facility-level targets focused on reducing energy use, conserving resources, diverting waste and leading within local communities. Among the fiscal 2026 projects, the company’s Westerville, Ohio, facility saved approximately one million gallons of water by improving the operation of four cooling towers.
• Advancing safe product innovation by supporting the HVACR industry’s transition to next-generation refrigerants with lower global warming potential. Worthington Enterprises worked with customers, regulators and industry organizations to promote safe handling, storage and distribution while advocating for consistent safety standards for refrigerant cylinders.
• Advancing circular solutions by becoming the first cylinder manufacturer to recover composite cylinder materials for reuse. Ragasco, a Worthington Enterprises business, began diverting composite production waste to a thermal recycling process that recovers materials for use in new applications.
• Strengthening supplier relationships by expanding data collection to indirectly monitor 100% of suppliers for social and environmental risks and impacts. The company directly engaged 100% of high-risk suppliers, which are comprised of the top 80% of total supplier spend as well as non-domestic suppliers.

Worthington Enterprises developed its 2026 Corporate Citizenship and Sustainability Report with reference to Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards. It also incorporates elements of the Recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) and the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) Appliance Manufacturing Standard, Building Products and Furnishings Standard and Containers and Packaging Standard.
