WindowMaster International A/S wins contract for refurbishment of government building in Ireland

WindowMaster has won a contract to deliver a hybrid ventilation solution for the refurbishment of a government building in Ireland. The project replaces the building's existing WindowMaster NV Advance® system.

The new installation is based on a KNX/MotorLink® hybrid architecture, combining natural and mechanical ventilation. Natural ventilation is prioritised whenever conditions allow, with the mechanical system engaging only when needed to maintain indoor climate performance. This hybrid approach reduces electricity consumption and enables a smaller mechanical system to be specified, resulting in lower embedded CO2.

Hybrid ventilation is increasingly a focus in the Irish market, with many organizations and building owners interested in achieving net zero. When it comes to ventilative cooling, which has gradually become a highly pressing issue, Irish research shows that its potential exceeds demand by more than 3.5 times, meaning hybrid systems can significantly reduce reliance on energy‑intensive cooling. This supports Ireland’s climate targets and reduces operational costs, and WindowMaster solutions are a great way to enable this.

The project is expected to be completed in late 2026.
