Weight Watchers and Google Health Enterprise Launch New Collaboration to Enhance Engagement and Outcomes in Weight Health Programs

The collaboration brings together two behavioral science powerhouses — Weight Watchers’ more than 60 years of experience helping people build stronger healthy habits with Google Health's leadership in wearable technology and health insights, giving members a more connected view of the daily behaviors that shape long-term weight health. In a clinical trial of the Weight Watchers program, participants who consistently tracked their food at least five days a week lost four times more weight than those who tracked fewer than three days a week.² Adding a Fitbit to a health program increases activity by an average of 950 more steps per day³, and in a Nature Medicine study of Fitbit wearers, those who walked more each day had a 25% reduction in type 2 diabetes risk than those who walked less.⁴
