Wärtsilä, Schneider Electric and Stanley Consultants launch coordinated approach for faster U.S. data center power delivery

Coordinated “Generator-to-Chip” approach integrates onsite generation, electrical infrastructure and engineering to help data center customers streamline development and save time compared to traditional delivery models.

Technology group Wärtsilä, Schneider Electric and Stanley Consultants have developed an innovative “Generator-to-Chip” approach to help U.S. data center developers and operators bring scalable power capacity online faster. Designed around the AI load, the approach aligns onsite power generation, electrical infrastructure, automation, engineering and project execution from the outset. By connecting the power pathway from generation and electrical distribution to digital monitoring and the IT load, the approach reduces handoffs, improves coordination across critical interfaces and provides greater execution certainty. The combined approach can accelerate project schedules compared to traditional, sequential delivery models.

Driven by accelerating investment in AI, demand for new data center capacity is growing rapidly across the United States. At the same time, lengthy grid interconnection timelines and delays in critical power infrastructure are slowing projects and increasing the need for coordinated solutions that can deliver dependable power where and when it is needed.

Wärtsilä provides flexible, modular engine power plants that can deliver reliable onsite power generation, start rapidly and scale as data center demand grows. Schneider Electric contributes the integrated electrical architecture, automation and digital power management that coordinate power from generation to the AI load. Stanley Consultants provides technical and advisory services across the data center lifecycle, including engineering, permitting, design coordination, construction management, commissioning oversight and climate resilience expertise.
