Wallenstam is now taking the next step in the development of Årstaberg. Towards the end of the year, sales will start of Brf Vida Årstaberg, 122 co-op apartments in a 25-story building with expansive views over Stockholm and an expected occupancy date after summer 2027. The investment means that Wallenstam is adding co-op apartments to the area and strengthening the ambition to create a district with mixed forms of tenure and a vibrant urban life.
A new district is taking shape around Årstaberg Station featuring housing, services, a school and new environments. With Brf Vida Årstaberg, Wallenstam is completing the development of an entire neighborhood with a total of just over 400 apartments.
“We are seeing great interest in Årstaberg and believe that co-op apartments will be a good complement to our rental apartments in the area and will contribute to a varied offering in a vibrant district. With Vida Årstaberg, we are creating attractive co-op apartments in an area that combines proximity to the city with fantastic views, services around the corner and excellent communications,” says Erik Klang, Head of Investments at Wallenstam.
Brf Vida consists of 122 co-op apartments ranging in size from one to three bedroom units. The building’s elevated position and design have been developed to maximize views, natural light and quality of life. One of Brf Vida Årstaberg’s most distinctive features are the spacious glazed balconies that create a seamless transition between indoors and outdoors and give the apartments a unique character.
The location close to the commuter train, light rail line and regional cycle routes means that Stockholm city center can be reached in just a few minutes while green areas, bathing spots and all Södermalm has to offer are within easy reach.
“Vida Årstaberg is a co-op apartment project where architecture, views and carefully considered residential features are being brought together in an already established area. This means that interested parties can experience the location, the blocks and the surroundings as they are today,” says Erik Klang, Head of Investments at Wallenstam.
In recent years, Årstaberg has proven to be one of Stockholm’s most sought-after development areas. When Wallenstam began offering viewings of rental apartments in the area last winter, it attracted more than 1,000 visitors, which confirms a strong interest in the site and its development.
