Viking Line has entered into a partnership with coach operator FlixBus, enabling travellers to book seamless journeys between a wide range of destinations across Europe, Finland, Sweden and Estonia in a single booking. Through the partnership, Viking Line's Baltic Sea services are now connected to FlixBus's extensive European route network.
From October, combined sea and coach journeys with Viking Line and FlixBus will be available.
The partnership covers all Viking Line departures between Helsinki and Tallinn, as well as morning departures between Stockholm and Turku.
"Our new partnership makes travelling between the Nordic countries, the Baltics and the rest of Europe even easier. It opens up Viking Line's destinations to customers from a much wider geographical market while further strengthening our role within the European transport network," says Daniel Atteroth, Director International Sales & Marketing at Viking Line.
The service has been developed primarily for the growing international travel market, but is also available to Viking Line customers in Finland, Sweden and Estonia. FlixBus stops are located in close proximity to Viking Line's terminals in Helsinki, Tallinn, Stockholm and Turku.
"The digital travel market is evolving rapidly, making it increasingly important to be present where customers search for and book their journeys. Through our partnership with FlixBus, Viking Line becomes part of more journeys across Europe and reaches travellers at the very start of their travel planning," says Ilja Berunenko, Sales & Marketing Manager, Digital International at Viking Line.
Combined Viking Line and FlixBus journeys will be available from 1 October.
