Jeonju Paper Corporation has selected Valmet to rebuild a press section and predryer section in their paper machine PM 5 in South Korea. The rebuild will improve overall machine efficiency and support the customer’s sustainability targets, ensuring reliable, energy-efficient operation of the paper machine. The start-up is scheduled for fall of 2027.

The most recent step in Valmet and Jeonju Paper’s collaboration, the delivery includes rebuilds of press section and predryer section,extending the lifecycle of the machine. The press section rebuild will lower the machine’s steam consumption, resulting in significant energy savings. The predryer section rebuild includes a runnability system upgrade to improve the overall efficiency of the machine, leading to energy savings. A spare parts package is also included in the delivery.
The order was included in Valmet's orders received for the second quarter of 2026. The value of the order will not be disclosed.
