UKAS ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation
York, UK and Madison, WI, USA, 29 September 2026: Abingdon Health plc (AIM: ABDX) (OTCQB: ABDXF), a leading international developer, manufacturer and provider of regulatory services for rapid diagnostic tests and med-tech, announces that Abingdon Analytical Ltd, the Company’s Doncaster, UK based performance evaluation laboratory, has been granted accreditation to ISO/IEC 17025:2017 by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (“UKAS”).
ISO/IEC 17025 is the international standard for testing and calibration laboratories that assesses whether a laboratory can consistently produce valid, reliable and defensible results. Accreditation gives the Group's customers an independently assessed basis for confidence in studies performed within scope. It also strengthens Abingdon Health's end-to-end offering, from diagnostic development and manufacturing through to regulatory support and market access.
UKAS is the UK's sole government-recognised national accreditation body. It maintains accreditation through regular surveillance visits and a defined scope setting out the specific tests, methods and matrices the laboratory is approved to report against. Performance evaluation data is a central part of the technical documentation diagnostics developers submit under UKCA, the EU IVDR and FDA pathways. Regulators and notified bodies increasingly examine how that data was generated, including the competence, traceability and controls behind it.
