Transaction in Own Shares
Achilles Investment Company Limited (the "Company") announces that on 9 September 2026 it purchased 20,000 of its ordinary shares (the "Shares") at a price of 103.5p on the London Stock Exchange for a total consideration (excluding expenses) of £20,700. The Shares will be held in treasury.
Following this purchase, and on the basis of the Company's issued share capital of 54,000,000 ordinary shares, the Company now holds 20,000 ordinary shares in treasury, which do not carry voting rights. The total number of ordinary shares in issue with voting rights following this purchase, for use by shareholders as the denominator for calculations under the FCA's Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rules, is therefore 53,980,000 ("Total Voting Rights").
The Company is about to enter a close period ahead of the publication of its audited results for the period ended 30 June 2026. Accordingly, the Board has given Singer Capital Markets Securities Limited ("Singers"), the Company's broker, an irrevocable and non-discretionary instruction to undertake market purchases of the Company's ordinary shares on the Company's behalf during this close period.
This purchase was made pursuant to the authority granted to the Board by Shareholders at the Company's annual general meeting held on 28 October 2025, under which the Company was authorised, in accordance with section 315 of The Companies (Guernsey) Law, 2008 (as amended), to make market acquisitions of up to 14.99 per cent. of its ordinary shares in issue as at the date of that meeting, either for cancellation or to be held as treasury shares, at a price of not less than £0.01 per Share and not more than the maximum price permitted under the terms of that authority.
