The Finnish Transport and Communications Agency Traficom has selected Tieto Tech Consulting as its partner for Microsoft Business Intelligence (MSBI) services, related to the development and maintenance of its data and analytics environments. Through the partnership, Traficom will continue developing its business-critical reporting and analytics solutions while advancing its transition to modern cloud-based data and analytics platforms.
Traficom plays a key role in ensuring the functionality, safety, and development of transport, communications, and digital society services in Finland. Data and analytics are central to the agency's operations, decision-making, and service development.
Going forward, Tieto will support Traficom in both the development of its current Microsoft BI environment and the implementation of future data and analytics solutions. The collaboration supports Traficom's efforts to improve cost efficiency, increase scalability, and further strengthen data-driven decision-making capabilities.

The agreement is valid for five years and includes two optional one-year extension periods. The estimated total value of the procurement is EUR 6 million.
Tieto achieved the highest overall score among eight bidders in the procurement process. In particular, its service delivery model, expert capabilities, and ability to integrate development, maintenance, and support services into a seamless whole received strong scores. The partnership further strengthens Tieto's position as a trusted provider of data and analytics services for the public sector.
