Full Year 2026 Trading update
Fairview, the Main Market listed operator of international schools following the International Baccalaureate ("IB") curriculum, is pleased to provide the following trading update for the year ended 30 June 2026, and an update on student enrolment for the academic year ending 30 June 2027.
· Revenue is expected to be approximately £5.9 million for the year ended 30 June 2026, up approximately 11% from £5.3 million in the prior year.
· Fairview Kuala Lumpur ranked among the top 100 IB schools globally for the seventh consecutive year - joint 38th in the 2026 ranking, and the top IB School in Malaysia for the fourth time.
· Record Middle Years Programme results and a 100% pass rate in the IB Diploma Programme.
· Current Trading and Outlook:
- New student enrolments for the academic and financial year ending 30 June 2027 are in line with expectations.
- Malaysia's expanding expatriate community and its proactive visa policies for international students present strong tailwinds.
- Increased marketing efforts are expected to drive further enrolment growth.
For the year to 30 June 2026 Fairview expects to report consolidated revenue of approximately £5.9 million, an 11% increase compared to the prior year. This growth reflects the impact of higher enrolment during the year and change in the mix of students across the academic programmes. In addition, the Company has continued to manage operating and administrative costs carefully, leading to improved operating margins.
Total student enrolment was 737 in the year ended 30 June 2026, compared with 694 in the previous financial year, an increase of approximately 6%.
The Company has increased its investment in marketing and recruitment and expects these efforts to support further enrolments during the current academic year. New enrolments for the academic year ending 30 June 2027 are in line with expectations.
Of currently enrolled students, 37% are in the Primary Years Programme, 53% in the Middle Years Programme and 10% in the IB Diploma Programme. The concentration in the primary and middle years provides opportunities for students to continue their education within the Fairview network.
Fairview's priorities for the year ending 30 June 2027 are student recruitment, continued academic progress and careful cost management. Both schools have available capacity to accommodate additional students without new capital expenditure.
The Company expects to publish its audited consolidated accounts and annual report for the year ended 30 June 2026 in the 2nd half of October 2026.
Daniel Chian, Chairman of Fairview, commented: "We look forward to publishing our audited results for the year ended 30 June 2026, our first full year as a Main Market listed company, reflecting continued improvements in operating efficiency and strong academic results. We have sustained our investment in marketing and student recruitment and anticipate further enrolment gains during the academic year ending 30 June 2027.
Both schools have capacity to accommodate additional students without new capital expenditure or a significant increase in operating expenditure. This provides scope for further margin improvement as enrolment grows."

Fairview owns and operates two private independent schools in Malaysia: Fairview Kuala Lumpur and Fairview Johor, in the southern state of Johor close to Singapore. Both offer the IB curriculum. The Fairview brand was founded in 1978, and the schools were acquired in 2012 by Agodeus Sdn Bhd, a company owned by the Chian family.
Three other schools in Malaysia operate under the Fairview brand. They are under common control but are outside the Company's group. These schools use the brand under licence from the Company and have access to Fairview network resources.
All schools in the Fairview network are authorised by the International Baccalaureate Organisation to offer the Primary Years and Middle Years Programmes for students aged 5 to 16. Fairview Kuala Lumpur also offers the Diploma Programme for students aged 16 to 19.
Fairview Kuala Lumpur is the network's largest school and its flagship campus. Fairview Johor focuses on the expatriate market in Singapore. Fairview joined the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange in October 2024.
