TOSCANA AEROPORTI: BEST EVER JUNE WITH OVER 1 MILLION PASSENGERS (+3.9%)
Florence, July 6, 2026 – In June, the Tuscan Airport System once again surpassed the one million passenger threshold, recording the best ever June and an increase of +3.9% compared to 2025. Growth was seen in both the international (+4.7%) and domestic (+1.7%) market segments.
The record results achieved in every single month of 2026 have allowed the Tuscan Airport System to exceed 4.8 million passengers in the first half of the year, an increase of +5.9% compared to the same period in 2025.
Results for individual airports:
The "Amerigo Vespucci" airport in Florence recorded its best ever June with 396 thousand passengers, showing growth of +1.4% compared to June 2025. Both market segments grew during the month: international (+1.1%) and domestic (+4.3%). Paris once again confirmed itself as the busiest route from Florence in June, followed by London, Amsterdam, Barcelona, and Frankfurt.
The Florence airport, with its historic records set in every single month of 2026, exceeded 1.9 million total passengers in the first half of the year, showing growth of +5.2% compared to 2025.
The "Galileo Galilei" airport in Pisa recorded a new historic record in June, with 665 thousand passengers, showing growth of +5.5% compared to the same month in 2025. The positive performance was supported by both the international traffic segment, up +7.4%, and the domestic segment, improving by +0.8%. In the ranking of routes with the highest traffic volume, London confirmed its first place, followed by Tirana, Palermo, Paris, and Catania.
In the first half of 2026, Pisa airport exceeded 2.9 million passengers, setting a new historic high and recording growth of +6.4% compared to the same period in 2025.
