TOMI’s SteraMist Integrated System (SIS) Strategy Converts to Orders: Enclosure Sales Reach $2.3 Million YTD

FREDERICK, Md., Sept. 17, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- TOMI Environmental Solutions, Inc.® (“TOMI”) (NASDAQ: TOMZ), a global leader in disinfection and decontamination solutions today reported accelerating traction in its SteraMist iHP enclosure product line, with roughly $2.3 million in purchase orders year-to-date. That figure already exceeds by 44% the $1.6 million in comparable enclosure orders generated over the previous four years combined — highlighting rapidly expanding customer adoption and a powerful growth engine in SteraMist iHP technology tied to enclosure use.
This order activity follows the Company’s 2024/2025 focus on its SteraMist Integration System (“SIS”) platform of products; a more standardized product grouping built to close faster, deliver faster, and fit the way customers already operate. While enclosure projects were largely custom in prior years, the enhanced SIS platform now reduces that custom requirement, offering configured answers with only minimal customization and enabling iHP to be retrofitted into customer installed equipment easier.
This shift is visible in two of the Company’s most recent purchase orders received within the past week. A portion of both orders is expected to be recognized as revenue this quarter upon delivery, with related services recognized next quarter. Both are retrofits of SteraMist iHP into customers’ existing enclosures. In each case, iHP will replace the customer’s prior decontamination process and integrate directly into their current enclosure, giving the customer a path to validated iHP decontamination without a full equipment replacement. One customer displaced chlorine dioxide; the other transitioned its current decontamination method to SteraMist iHP. With both customers utilizing the SIS platform rather than a lengthy custom build, both orders are positioned for nearer-term delivery and revenue recognition in the second half of 2026.
Demand is concentrated in enclosed, controlled environments used throughout life sciences research, manufacturing, and quality operations. These include biosafety cabinets (BSCs); restricted access barrier systems (RABS); isolators and gloveboxes; pass-through chambers and material airlocks; aseptic filling and packaging-line enclosures; sterility-test, compounding, and cell-and-gene-therapy chambers; lyophilizer and freeze-dryer isolators; and other barrier systems in which surfaces and air must be decontaminated to a validated standard without damaging sensitive materials or instruments.
These orders exclude the Company’s active pipeline of automated custom-design work; Custom Engineered Systems currently retains an active pipeline totaling $3.2 million.

In parallel, TOMI continues to work with one domestic partner and one international partner on a standardized, all-encompassing iHP chamber—an upgraded SteraBox—intended as a cost-effective offering for additional markets. The design draws down the performance bar already required in life sciences and packages it for commercial and daily-use customers who need routine, high-level sanitization outside traditional pharmaceutical and laboratory settings. Target applications include recycling and circular-economy workflows; electronics, medical device and laboratory equipment refurbishment; returned consumer and industrial goods before resale; and other sustainability-driven operations in which shared, reused, or reclaimed items must be decontaminated before they re-enter commerce.
Those use cases rest on the same performance profile that has driven life sciences adoption. SteraMist iHP, a DARPA-originated technology, combines high efficacy with broad material compatibility. That combination is making iHP an increasingly common choice for sensitive equipment—not only in aseptic processing, but anywhere operators want sterilization that is effective on the target and compatible with the asset being treated.
