The PRH has revamped the Virre Information Service – easier access to registered details of companies and foundations

The Finnish Patent and Registration Office (PRH) launched the revamped Virre Information Service on Thursday 27 August 2026. The update aims to make it simpler and easier to search the registered details of companies, foundations, and enterprise mortgages. The visual appearance of the service has also been updated.

Virre is a PRH information service that allows users to search for registered information about businesses, foundations, and enterprise mortgages. Users can download Trade Register extracts free of charge, buy financial statements, and search for information about notifications filed by companies and about people’s positions in companies.

The updated service has a single search field, making it more convenient to find register information.

“We have developed the service with our customers, and the feedback has been positive,” says Tuija Pajukka, Customer Services Manager at the PRH.

Purchased items can now be delivered to email

The updated Virre Information Service allows users to buy items using internet banking codes or by credit card. Purchased items and receipts can be accessed after the purchase and are also delivered by email.

The new service is primarily available without registration and login. In the future, only contract clients will need a username and password to log in.

Clients who need register information frequently or in large amounts can become Virre contract clients.

The Beneficial Owner Information Service will provide beneficial owner details

It is no longer possible to search for information on the beneficial owners (people who have an ownership interest or control) of companies in Virre. Instead, beneficial owner details can be obtained via the PRH’s Beneficial Owner Information Service in Finnish and Swedish.

The Virre Information Service will continue to be available at www.virre.fi.
