The Instalco company Enervion begins work two large-scale battery storage projects in Finland
The Instalco subsidiary Enervion Oy has commenced work on two battery storage systems in Kittilä in northern Finland. Work on site has now begun with groundworks and initial installations. The projects comprise turnkey delivery followed by ten years of operation and maintenance services.
The assignment comprises two parallel battery energy storage projects, Sirkka and Köngäs, each with a power of 10 MW and a storage capacity of 20 MWh. The systems are based on Enico Jupiter Nova technology, developed specifically for demanding Nordic and Arctic climate conditions.
Enervion is responsible for turnkey EPC delivery covering design, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning, followed by ten years of operations and maintenance services. The customer is wattss Services AG, a Swiss-based battery storage specialist with over six years of experience.

The contracts were signed in May 2026 and the order value of approximately EUR 10 million was included in Instalco’s order backlog at the end of the second quarter of 2026. The facilities are scheduled for completion and commissioning in summer 2027.
