The Government of Ghana extends public awareness and education period by one month

The country is now expected to begin live citation issuance on November 1st.
As an update to our 10 September 2026 release, the Ghana Police Service has announced that it is rescheduling the full implementation of the Traffitech-GH program from the previously communicated 1 October to 1 November 2026 to allow for additional public awareness and education on the program. As part of its announcement, the Ghana Police Service “urges motorists, drivers and vehicle owners to take advantage of the additional period to familiarise themselves with the programme ahead of the roll out.”
