The conditions set by Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority for Loihde’s acquisition of BLC Turva have been satisfied
Loihde Plc and BLC Turva Oy have satisfied the conditions set by Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority (FCCA) for Loihde’s acquisition of BLC Turva.
Loihde announced on 5 November 2025 that Loihde and the cooperative Savonlinnan BLC-osuuskunta had signed an agreement on Loihde acquiring the entire share capital of BLC Turva Oy. As both Loihde and BLC Turva are among Finland's largest suppliers of security solutions, the transaction is subject to the approval of the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority.
In FCCA’s conditional approval of the acquisition on 27 May 2026, the FCCA required that Loihde divests its local locking business in South Carelia and its local locking and security technology business in South Savo, and BLC Turva divests its locking business in the region of Central Finland.
On 14 September 2026, Loihde and Lukkokeskus Konserni Oy have signed an agreement on business transaction concerning Lukkokeskus Konserni Oy acquiring Loihde’s local locking and security business in South Carelia and South Savo.
Respectively, on 14 September 2026, Lukkokeskus Konserni Oy and BLC Turva Oy have signed an agreement on transaction Lukkokeskus acquiring BLC Turva’s local locking and security business in Central Finland.
The closing date for the transactions is estimated to be 1 October 2026.
The companies do not disclose the transaction prices. The revenue from the divestments is less than MEUR 10 in total. The number of the personnel is 55. The divestments have no essential impact on the industrial logic behind the acquisition of BLC Turva or the cost synergy target of over EUR 3 million.
The FCCA has today, 23 September 2026, confirmed that the purchaser fulfils the prerequisites set in its conditional approval of the acquisition. As the FCCA has approved the purchaser, the conditions of the FCCA’s decision no longer restrict the closing of the transaction between Loihde and Savonlinnan BLC-osuuskunta.
The transaction regarding BLC Turva Oy will be completed approximately on 1 October 2026. The acquisition strengthens Loihde’s position as Finland’s leading provider of comprehensive security solutions for businesses and Loihde will become the Finnish market leader in electronic security technology and structural security. Loihde will disclose more about the subject on the completion date of the transaction.
