In order to reach the Group’s financial target of a 15% EBITA margin despite a continued challenging market in construction-related segments in the Nordics, Svedbergs Group’s subsidiary Svedbergs in Dalstorp has decided to take structural measures.
As part of this, analyses and simulations have been carried out, which have among other things resulted in a new way of working. The measures aim to simplify the organisation, clarify responsibilities, and reduce the ongoing cost level, while the company maintains its focus on creating the conditions for continued growth. The Group’s other subsidiaries are not affected.
The measures are expected to gradually improve operating profit by approximately SEK 25 million on an annual basis, with full effect from the second quarter of 2027.
The reorganisation entails a reduction in the number of positions. Negotiations with the trade unions concerned will be initiated in accordance with applicable regulations, and the final number of positions affected will be determined once the negotiations have been concluded.
“Svedbergs has a strong brand and a well-positioned business, but the market requires us to adapt our cost structure. The measures we are now implementing strengthen profitability and give us an organisation that is better equipped to grow when demand recovers,” says Per-Arne Andersson, President and CEO of Svedbergs Group.
