SOMEC: SUBSIDIARY FABBRICA SECURES RECORD CONTRACT FOR 350 PARK
AVENUE IN NEW YORK
The contract involves the installation of over 83,600 square metres of curtain walling for 350 Park Avenue, the new office tower designed by Foster + Partners in the heart of Manhattan.

San Vendemiano (Treviso), September 8, 2026 – Somec S.p.A. (Euronext Milan: SOM), specialising in the engineering, manufacturing, and installation of complex turnkey projects for the civil and naval sectors, announces that its US subsidiary Fabbrica LLC, part of the Horizons division , has secured a contract for 350 Park Avenue, the new office tower being developed by Vornado Realty Trust in the heart of Midtown Manhattan, New York.
The prestigious contract awarded to Fabbrica covers the manufacturing and installation of the building's curtain walling, spanning a total surface area of over 83,600 square metres.
Founded by Alberto De Gobbi and Claudio Daniele in 2016, Fabbrica is the Somec Group’s US subsidiary specialising in the design and delivery of bespoke, high- tech, and high- design engineered building façade systems, developed for leading architecture firms across New York and New England. From the engineering of individual components to the mechanics of parts, the focus is on creating distinctive envelopes capable of ensuring building performance, insulation, and safety. The Group's flagship subsidiary join ed Somec in 2018 and currently operates from its headquarters and manufacturing facilities in Windsor, Connecticut, alongside an operations office in New York and dedicated design and production sites in Canada and Italy.
Designed by the international firm Foster + Partners, 350 Park Avenue will be one of the most iconic buildings in New York’s new skyline. Standing at approximately 448 metres tall across 62 storeys, plus four technical levels at the summit, it will also become one of the city's tallest skyscrapers. Spanning a floor area of approximately 176,500 square metres, the building is set to accommodate over 6,000 workers.
The project features a stepped architectural configuration with full -height glazing and landscaped terraces. Designed in accordance with advanced sustainability criteria, the tower will feature a high-performance envelope engineered to support energy effic iency, well- being, and workplace quality. The glazing will maximise natural light intake, while the curved façade elements will expand outward views across the city, enabling the building envelope to play a key role in conveying the building’s architectura l identity.
The tower will rise in the heart of one of Manhattan’s most prestigious architectural contexts, in dialogue with iconic examples of Modernism, Art Deco, and historic New York architecture, including the Seagram Building, Lever House, the Waldorf Astoria, a nd St. Bartholomew’s Church.
The award of this contract represents a major new milestone in Fabbrica's growth path in the United States. Indeed, building on a track record of premier projects delivered in recent years across the New York area and main cities on the US East Coast, this contract consolidates the company’s position as a leading player in the execution of architectural envelopes for high- value and prestigious structures.
The execution of the contract in its entirety and its financial impact are expected to span a period from 2026 to 2032.
