Slättö continues to grow its investment activity in Denmark, deploying EUR 175 million in the country. The firm’s investments to date include a landmark office-to-hotel conversion in Copenhagen's Vesterbro district, a newly-built residential acquisition in Søborg, Copenhagen, and logistics investment in Greve and Odense. Deal flow in Denmark is strong, with a pipeline of value-add opportunities across all three segments.
On the back of these successful investments, Slättö expands its team in Denmark, recruiting Neal Hollingsworth as Investment Manager.
“Slättö has built strong momentum in Denmark over the past year, and we continue to see attractive opportunities across residential, light industrial and logistics, and hotels. I am thrilled to welcome Neal on board. We have worked together before, and I know that he will make a strong contribution to our investment management capabilities, as we continue to grow in Denmark,” says Anders Østergaard Hansen, Country Head, Denmark at Slättö.
In residential, Slättö entered the Copenhagen market with the acquisition of Søborg Hovedgade 96, a modern 53-apartment asset. The firm also acquired a logistics portfolio in Greve and Odense with a combined lettable area of 12,900 sqm and project development opportunities. In hotels, the former police headquarters on Halmtorvet Square in Copenhagen's Vesterbro district is being converted into a 175-room lifestyle hotel operated under a long-term lease. The brown-to-green conversion targets DGNB Gold certification.
The Danish market offers solid liquidity, and interest from international capital is strong. Operational fundamentals are attractive, particularly in Slättö’s core segments of residential, light industrial and logistics, and hotel. New supply is constrained across all sectors, which supports the forward rental growth outlook, particularly in and around the Greater Copenhagen area.
Neal Hollingsworth will work alongside the existing Slättö team to identify and execute new investment opportunities across its focus segments. He joins Slättö following ten years at Urban Partners and brings broad experience in Nordic real estate investments across multiple sectors, with extensive knowledge of the Danish market.
“Slättö has established a strong position in Denmark, and I am excited to join the team as we continue to grow the business. The combination of a clear investment strategy with local expertise creates a strong platform for identifying and executing attractive opportunities across the Danish market,” says Neal Hollingsworth, Investment Manager at Slättö.
