Skyrup Golf & Hotel and Smartports sign agreement for new energy hub
Skyrup Golf & Hotel and Smartports have signed an agreement for a new energy hub featuring 10 weather-protected parking spaces, 10 EV charging points, solar energy production and 345 kWh of battery storage.
Skyrup Golf & Hotel continuously works to develop its facilities and improve the offering for its members, guests and visitors. Through the partnership with Smartports, an existing parking area will be transformed into productive and sustainable energy infrastructure.
“We want to continue developing Skyrup Golf & Hotel and create a modern and attractive facility for our members and guests. With this solution, we can combine EV charging and weather-protected parking with local renewable energy production,” says Daniel Edvardsson, Skyrup Golf & Hotel.
The new energy hub will include 10 parking spaces with integrated solar panels, 10 charging points and battery storage. The solution enables energy to be produced, stored and used locally, while giving visitors access to EV charging and protection from sun, rain and snow.
“Parking areas have significant potential to become an important part of the energy system of the future. The partnership demonstrates how existing parking areas can be used to create local energy, mobility and long-term value without requiring additional land.
