The purchases are made in accordance with the Company’s share buyback programme, which was launched on the basis of an authorisation granted by the Annual General Meeting of SKEL fjárfestingafélag hf. on 5 March 2026, cf. the Company’s market announcement dated 28 April 2026. The Company intends to purchase treasury shares within the limits authorised by the Annual General Meeting, provided that the total amount of the purchases does not exceed a predetermined maximum purchase price. The buyback programme will remain in effect until either of the aforementioned limits relating to volume or purchase price has been reached, unless the programme is terminated earlier by a decision of the Company.
SKEL has now purchased a total of 6,440,904 treasury shares for a total purchase price of ISK 107,751,261, corresponding to 0.33% of the Company’s total share capital of ISK 1,878,479,032.
The implementation of the share buyback programme is in accordance with the authorisation granted by the Annual General Meeting, the Icelandic Public Limited Companies Act No. 2/1995 and the Act on Measures Against Market Abuse No. 60/2021, cf. Regulation (EU) No. 596/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council on market abuse and Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2016/1052 with regard to regulatory technical standards for the conditions applicable to buyback programmes.
