The purchases were made in accordance with the Company’s share buy-back programme, which was implemented on the basis of an authorisation granted by the Annual General Meeting of SKEL fjárfestingafélag hf. on 5 March 2026, cf. the Company’s announcement to the market on 28 April 2026. The Company intends to purchase own shares within the limits authorised by the Annual General Meeting, provided that the aggregate purchase price of the shares does not exceed the predetermined maximum amount. The share buy-back programme will continue until either the maximum number of shares or the maximum aggregate purchase price has been reached, unless terminated earlier by a decision of the Company.
SKEL has now purchased a total of 7,682,925 own shares in the Company for a total purchase price of ISK 128,893,416, corresponding to 0.41% of the Company’s total share capital of ISK 1,878,479,032.
The implementation of the share buy-back programme is in accordance with the authorisation granted by the Annual General Meeting, the Icelandic Act on Public Limited Companies No. 2/1995 and the Icelandic Act on Measures Against Market Abuse No. 60/2021, cf. Regulation (EU) No. 596/2014 on market abuse and Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2016/1052 with regard to regulatory technical standards for the conditions applicable to buy-back programmes.
