Shearwater awarded North Sea OBN survey featuring first deployment of electric ROV technology
Bergen, 08 September 2026: Shearwater Geoservices AS ("Shearwater") has been awarded a seven-weeks North Sea ocean bottom node (OBN) survey, representing the first commercial deployment of the company's newly installed electric ROVs.
The survey will be executed using the SW Tasman with Pearl-nodes, as ROV vessel, supported by the SW Gallien as source vessel. Operations are scheduled to commence imminently following the ROV upgrade.
