July 2026 brought the JUMBO Group's performance back in line with management's original expectations. Sales rose by approximately 9% y-o-y, bringing the Group's sales growth for the January–July 2026 period to approximately 5% y-o-y.
The acceleration in July sales growth, compared with June (+7%), brings the Group's trading performance fully in line with management's guidance as presented at the recent Annual General Meeting of Shareholders. Management continues to expect full-year 2026 sales growth of approximately 5%, with net profit to range between EUR 310 million and EUR 320 million.
The acceleration in sales during a month in which the European retail sector continued to be challenged by a fragile geopolitical environment underscores the resilience of consumer confidence in the JUMBO network, demonstrating that this relationship of trust remains stronger than the prevailing market headwinds.
As of 1 July 2026, the European Union has abolished the customs duty exemption for low-value imports (up to €150) from third countries, while also introducing a temporary €3 handling fee per tariff classification. Although the measure is “strict”, it represents an important first step towards creating fairer competitive conditions between European retailers and international e-commerce platforms.
In early August, the Group's local franchise partner opened the 8th JUMBO store in Israel, further strengthening the JUMBO brand's footprint in the Israeli market. A new store is expected to open by year-end. The first JUMBO store in Canada is currently expected to commence operations in the fourth quarter of 2026.
