Scania will present its marine offering at SMM 2026, demonstrating how its power solutions, electrification capabilities and services meet the needs of a wide variety of marine applications.
At the event in Hamburg, Germany, from 1–4 September, Scania will showcase its range of power solutions including its popular 13-litre marine engine. Built on the Scania Super platform, the DI13 delivers improved efficiency, higher performance, and increased durability, helping reduce fuel consumption, CO₂ emissions and operating costs.
Scania will also present its electrification offering, including hybrid power solutions and industrial battery technology as part of its long-term strategy to support the marine industry's transition towards lower-emission operations. Together with its combustion engine portfolio, these technologies contribute to a flexible range of solutions that can be adapted to different operational requirements.
In addition to its power solutions, Scania will highlight its service offering, including maintenance solutions that help customers improve uptime, operational efficiency, and long-term performance.
"Our goal is to support our customers throughout their transition by offering a broad portfolio of power solutions for different types of marine applications," says Anders Swärd, Head of sales, Power Solutions. "By combining efficient combustion engines, electrification capabilities and services, we partner with customers to identify solutions that meet both their operational needs and their sustainability ambitions."
During SMM, Scania will also share insights into how industrialised automotive technology can help accelerate the path towards zero-emission operations while reducing technical and financial risk.
Scania's participation at SMM reflects the company's continued commitment to the marine industry and its focus on helping customers with efficient, reliable, and flexible solutions for today's operations and tomorrow's challenges.
