September is traditionally a key month for JUMBO Group’s trading activity, as it includes the back-to-school season and provides a useful indication of broader consumer demand trends.
This year’s back-to-school season unfolded against a challenging backdrop, with conditions varying across the four markets in which the Group operates.
Inflationary pressures and fiscal adjustment are affecting consumer purchasing power to varying degrees, while ongoing geopolitical tensions continue to heighten volatility in energy and transportation costs.
Despite these factors, the positive sales momentum of previous months continued into September.
Sales increased by approximately 8% compared with September last year, bringing sales growth for the first nine months of 2026 (January–September) to approximately 6%.
Sales performance to date allows management to remain cautiously optimistic about the full-year outlook, while remaining mindful of the limited visibility and persistent uncertainties in the international environment.
