Raisio plc, press release, 10 August 2026
Raisio has been awarded a Bronze Medal in its first EcoVadis sustainability assessment. The company scored 68 out of 100, placing it among the top 35% of all assessed companies.
EcoVadis evaluates companies’ sustainability management across four areas: environment, labour and human rights, ethics, and responsible sourcing. The assessment covers a company’s policies, practical measures, performance indicators and reporting.
“Achieving a Bronze Medal in our first EcoVadis assessment is an important recognition of the long-term work carried out across the company. The result shows that our sustainability management is built on solid foundations. At the same time, the assessment helps us identify our key areas for further development,” says Annika Boström-Kumlin, Raisio’s Chief Communications and Sustainability Officer.
Customers and other business partners increasingly require more detailed and reliable information about companies’ sustainability performance. EcoVadis provides an internationally recognised and consistent framework for assessing sustainability management, together with the practices and evidence that support it.
“Our customers increasingly expect sustainability information verified by a third party, and we want to meet this need transparently and consistently. The independent EcoVadis assessment provides our customers with comparable information about our sustainability management and supports their procurement and partner evaluation processes,” Boström-Kumlin continues.
The EcoVadis assessment complements external assessments of Raisio’s sustainability work. In June 2026, the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) approved Raisio’s climate targets, which guide emissions reductions both in the company’s own operations and across its value chain.
EcoVadis is an international provider of business sustainability assessments. Its methodology is based on internationally recognised sustainability principles and standards.
The scope of the assessment is tailored to the company’s size, industry and countries of operation. Raisio was assessed in the manufacture of grain mill products industry category. However, medal levels are based on a company’s position among all companies assessed by EcoVadis over the past 12 months, regardless of industry or location.
The assessment is based on the analysis of documentation submitted by the company. In addition to its score, the company receives feedback on its strengths and areas for improvement. The assessment score and medal are valid for 12 months.
