Plejd expands its European offering with smart motors for sun shading
Plejd will launch smart motors for sun shading as part of a broad expansion across Europe. The initial range will include motors compatible with most types of sun shading, together with a wireless sun and wind sensor. The products are expected to be showcased at R+T in Stuttgart on 15–19 February 2027, Europe’s largest trade fair of its kind. The launch is expected in late 2027.
CEO Babak Esfahani comments:
We have been working on this initiative for a long time and are now looking forward to bringing it to market. The European market for these products is much larger than for anything we have launched to date. The motors will be compatible with most types of sun shading, including zip screens, roller shutters and awnings. With smart technology, we will be able to cover a wide range of applications right from the start. The installation benefits we will offer are very similar to what we achieved with lighting in the Nordic region.
The products are being tested by customers this autumn ahead of the launch in late 2027. Together with more exciting products and adaptations to our lighting range, we hope this will help our European expansion really gain momentum and drive our continued growth over the next 5–10 years.
