Planmeca is expanding the versatility of its Planmeca Pro50™ dental unit by introducing new cuspidor housing design option along with an advanced water management solution.

The Planmeca Pro50™ dental unit is now available with two distinct cuspidor configurations. In addition to the existing model featuring a visible clean water system bottle, users can select a new uniform cuspidor frame with an enclosed water treatment system. This new design enhances the unit’s aesthetic while supporting a more integrated and streamlined clinical setup.
The uniform cuspidor frame offers flexibility in water treatment solutions. Clinics can use a bottled water system or the new DVGW 2.0 water management system – a modern, low-maintenance solution designed to simplify daily workflows.
DVGW 2.0 is a fully integrated system that automatically doses a small amount of hydrogen peroxide-based disinfectant into the treatment water, ensuring consistent water hygiene. The system also supports periodic intensive cleaning procedures, helping maintain optimal performance and safety standards.
To further improve usability, the disinfectant concentrate is housed within the unit, minimising direct handling of cleaning agents. With a replacement interval of approximately once a month, the system reduces maintenance effort while enhancing safety for both clinical staff and patients.
With these new options, Planmeca Pro50 continues to offer enhanced customisation, improved infection control, and increased workflow efficiency for modern dental practices.
