Pharmability has received authorisation from the Swedish Medical Products Agency (Läkemedelsverket) to start Phase Ib clinical trial of TIR-C in atopic dermatitis, advancing the company into clinical development and its first study in patients.

STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN, July 21, 2026 – With the authorisation in place, the company will now advance into clinical development, enrolling and dosing the first patients in the study.
The Phase Ib study is the first time TIR-C will be administered to patients. It is designed to assess the safety and tolerability of TIR-C and to provide an exploratory assessment of efficacy in patients with atopic dermatitis. The study will be conducted at clinical sites in Sweden.
Following the authorisation, Pharmability and its clinical partner will complete site initiation and begin patient enrolment. The company expects the trial to deliver the first clinical data on TIR-C, which will guide the design of the subsequent stages of the development programme.
“This authorisation is based on years of preclinical work that has now resulted into the first study in patients,” says Leo Holmgren, CEO of Pharmability.
The authorisation is the first regulatory clearance of TIR-C for use in humans and represents an important milestone in Pharmability’s development.
