Pemamek has further expanded its software capabilities by introducing a streamlined adaptive offline programming workflow that automatically adjusts welding programs based on real-world joint conditions.
The new capability combines Pemamek's two proven technologies already widely utilized in customer applications: offline welding programming and weld joint scanning. While both technologies have delivered value independently for years, integrating them into a single, seamless workflow simplifies the path from programming to production.
Using scan data from the actual weld bevel geometry, the system automatically identifies deviations from the planned joint and adapts the multi-pass welding pattern accordingly. Previously, this process required multiple manual steps and user intervention to analyze scan results and update welding programs. Now these tasks are automated, reducing the need for manual adjustments and enabling a more efficient process.
"The real innovation lies in bringing proven technologies together into a unified workflow," says Lauri Paasio, Application Manager, Pemamek. "By seamlessly connecting scanning and offline programming, we've removed unnecessary process steps and significantly reduced the need for operator intervention. This enables a higher level of automation while making the entire welding process easier and more efficient for our customers."
By minimizing process handovers, reducing user interactions, and automating program adaptation, the solution helps manufacturers increase productivity and consistency while simplifying daily operations. The adaptive workflow enables welding programs to better reflect actual production conditions, improving both efficiency and process reliability.
The new functionality is available as part of PEMA WeldControl™ and complements Pemamek's broader portfolio of digital welding, robotics, and automation solutions. The development highlights Pemamek's constant commitment to innovating intelligent technologies that help manufacturers maximize the value of welding automation throughout the production process.
The solution will strengthen manufacturers' ability to bridge the gap between virtual planning and production reality, enabling more autonomous, efficient, and scalable welding operations.
