Paradox Interactive sells Playrion to Trophy Games

Trophy Games Development A/S (“Trophy Games”), a developer and publisher of mobile management and simulation games, will acquire 100% of the shares in the Paris-based mobile game development studio Playrion SASU (“Playrion”) from Paradox Interactive AB (publ) (“Paradox”). As a result of the transaction, the games Airlines Manager and Airport Simulator: First Class will be added to Trophy Games’ portfolio. This will further strengthen their position within the mobile management and simulation segment, while Paradox will be able to sharpen its focus on strategy and management games for PC and console. Closing of the transaction is expected to take place on 30 September 2026.

Playrion is a highly skilled mobile game developer with a strong track record, and we’re happy to have found a committed owner who can support the studio’s growth,” said Fredrik Wester, CEO of Paradox.

Trophy Games will pay Paradox an upfront cash consideration of MEUR 2.25 and a deferred consideration in the form of a net revenue-based earn-out over three years following closing. Paradox acquired Playrion in 2020. At group level the excess value related to the acquisition has previously been fully amortised.
