P140 International Patent Filing Update
ImmuPharma plc (LSE AIM: IMM), the specialist drug discovery and development company, is pleased to announce that it has filed an international Patent Cooperation Treaty ("PCT") application relating to its P140 precision medicine approach in autoimmune disease, including the identification and treatment of patients with the Type M immune profile..
Type M refers to a biologically defined patient population characterised by an immune profile associated with an increased likelihood or magnitude of response to P140.
The PCT application builds on the original UK priority patent application filed in August 2025 and announced by the Company in September 2025. The filing represents the next stage in ImmuPharma's strategy to seek international patent protection for the intellectual property arising from its work on P140 and Type M precision medicine approach.
During the 12-month priority period, ImmuPharma continued its experimental program and generated additional data supporting the scientific basis of the P140 and Type M approach. These new results have been incorporated into the PCT application.
The additional work has expanded the scientific package supporting the PCT application and contributed to the Company's broader research into the biological framework underlying P140 and autoimmune disease.
Next steps for the patent application
The PCT application will now progress through the international phase, including an international patent search and subsequent publication of the application.
The PCT process provides ImmuPharma with a route to pursue patent protection in selected national and regional jurisdictions. As the PCT application progresses, the Company will determine the key commercial territories in which it intends to enter the national and regional phases and pursue patent protection.
P140 partnering discussions
P140 remains a core value driver for ImmuPharma. The Company continues to advance discussions and remains focused on completing a value-enhancing commercial deal in 2026.
