Outcome of External Audit Tender
Kingfisher plc (the 'Company') announces that, following the conclusion of a formal audit tender process led by the Audit Committee, the Board has approved the appointment of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP ('PwC') as the Company's statutory auditor for the financial year ending 31 January 2029, subject to shareholder approval.
In line with applicable UK legislation, the Company is required to tender its statutory audit every 10 years and rotate firms every 20 years. As the Company's existing auditor, Deloitte LLP ('Deloitte') were first appointed in 2009 and subsequently reappointed in 2019, the Company stated its intention to complete a tender for audit services in the Annual Report and Accounts for the year ended 31 January 2026.
A resolution to appoint PwC as the Company's external auditor will be put to shareholders for approval at the Company's Annual General Meeting to be held in 2028. Deloitte will continue as the Company's auditor until the conclusion of the financial year ending 31 January 2028, and the Board expects to propose their reappointment at the 2027 Annual General Meeting.
The Board would like to thank Deloitte LLP for its longstanding service to the Company over many years and also thanks all firms that participated in a high-quality tender process.
