Operational and Commodity Sales Update
Marula Mining PLC (AQSE: MARU; A2X: MAR), an African-focused mining and development company, is pleased to provide an update on operations and commercial progress at the Tonto Tshipi and Derdepoort Manganese Mines in South Africa, and the Kilifi Manganese Processing Plant in Kenya.
Tonto Tshipi and Derdepoort Manganese Mines, South Africa
Further to the Company's announcements on 10 June 2026 and 29 June 2026, the Company provides the following update on site works and funding at the Tonto Tshipi and Derdepoort Manganese Mines (the "Mines").
Following execution of the formal Shareholders Agreement with Infirnity Resource Group (Pty) Limited and Board approval of the budget and mine development plan subject to the finalisation of a long-term manganese offtake agreement, site works have commenced at the Mines.
Further to the funding structure set out in the announcement of 29 June 2026, the Company confirms that it is continuing to progress the operational funding required to meet the initial working capital costs to re-start operations at the Mines. The funding structure comprises the Gathoni Muchai Investments ("GMI ") shareholder loan facility together with other loan funding arrangements and prepayment funding to be potentially advanced in parallel with a long-term offtake agreement. These arrangements remain subject to final documentation and, where applicable, drawdown conditions.
The Company continues to progress discussions with a major global commodity trading and offtake group in respect of a long-term manganese offtake agreement. There can be no guarantee that a long-term offtake agreement or any associated prepayment funding will be entered into on the terms currently envisaged, or at all.
Kilifi Manganese Processing Plant, Kenya
Further to the Company's announcement of 25 June 2026, the Company provides the following update on stockpile and sales progress at the Kilifi Manganese Processing Plant (the "Kilifi Plant").
The Company continues to increase ore sourcing and build its washed manganese stockpile at the Kilifi Plant ahead of its first export shipment parallel with ongoing export coordination discussions being held with relevant parties and regulatory bodies.
As announced on 25 June 2026, the Company expected to complete its first shipment in July 2026. The Company now confirms that this has been delayed, any potential sales will be subject to individual purchase contracts, the Company confirms that no purchase contracts have been entered into to date.
Kinusi Copper Mine
Further to the announcement on 10 June 2026, the Company confirms that delivery and sale of copper production to Traxys has been delayed.
Further project updates will be provided in due course. The Company continues to carefully manage its constrained working capital position.
