Chief Financial Officer Hans-Jørgen Wibstad has decided to leave Norwegian Air Shuttle with effect from 31 October 2026 to take up a new role as CFO in Multiconsult ASA on 1 November, and upon completion of the proposed merger, CFO in Multiconsult Rejlers.
"I am leaving Norwegian as a strong and well positioned airline. Over the last few years, the company has delivered solid financial results, distributed a first ever dividend and initiated key strategic growth initiatives. I would like to wish the company and all its great employees all the best for the future," said Hans-Jørgen Wibstad.
Gjermund Aasen, SVP Corporate Finance & Fleet, has been appointed interim Chief Financial Officer with effect from 1 November 2026. He has been with Norwegian since 2021 and was previously Vice President Finance at Golden Ocean Management AS. He holds a Master of Science in Business Administration from Nord University in Bodø and BI Norwegian Business School.

He has played an important role in the company's development over the last years, and I have valued our close collaboration. Both me and the rest of Norwegian team wish him all the best in his future endeavours. I am also very pleased that Gjermund has agreed to step in as interim CFO. The company has initiated a search process to appoint a Chief Financial Officer on a permanent basis.
