Nimlas is launching PrimeTec Oy, a new electrical services company in Jyväskylä, Central Finland, together with experienced industry professional Markus Hämäläinen. PrimeTec is Nimlas’ first startup company in Finland, adding another path for growth alongside acquisitions and growth in existing companies. Starting new companies together with experienced entrepreneurs has a long history within Nimlas Sweden and is an established part of Nimlas’ growth model.
PrimeTec will serve businesses, property owners, industrial customers, the public sector and housing companies in Jyväskylä and across Central Finland. The company provides electrical maintenance and servicing, electrical contracting and installations, as well as electrical operations management services.
Markus Hämäläinen has extensive experience in the electrical industry and strong networks in Central Finland. Starting his own company had been on his mind for a long time, and the opportunity to do so together with Nimlas provided an attractive path to entrepreneurship.
“I felt that it was now or never. This was an attractive way for me to become an entrepreneur. I have spent my career in the electrical industry and know the customers and market in Central Finland well. As an entrepreneur, I want to stay close to customers and focus my time on what matters most for the business. Nimlas’ broad network and the support of a larger group provide a strong foundation for building and growing the company,” says Markus Hämäläinen, Managing Director of PrimeTec.
A new route to entrepreneurship
The startup model offers experienced professionals a new way to become entrepreneurs and build their own businesses without having to build everything from scratch. Entrepreneurs lead and develop their own companies, backed by Nimlas’ network, resources and support.
“Our ambition is to grow Nimlas Finland’s revenue to approximately EUR 800 million by 2031. To get there, we need growth in our existing companies and continued acquisitions, but also new ways of building businesses. PrimeTec is the first company we have built from the ground up together with an entrepreneur in Finland and an important new step for us,” says Tiina Koppinen, CEO of Nimlas Finland.
Nimlas has continued to expand through acquisitions in Finland during 2026. The businesses included in completed and agreed transactions represent combined annual revenue of more than EUR 60 million. One of the agreed transactions is currently awaiting regulatory approval. In 2025, Nimlas Finland had pro forma revenue of EUR 334 million and today employs almost 2 000 technical installation professionals across Finland.
