Nightingale Health Plc | Press Release | August 17, 2026 at 11:30:00 EEST
Nightingale Health and Personalised Health Clinics (PHC) have agreed to collaborate to incorporate Nightingale Health's metabolomic blood testing into PHC's personalised, clinician-led healthcare services in the UK. Under the collaboration, Nightingale Health provides its proprietary blood-based Remote Health Check, including a 10-year risk profile for five chronic diseases: heart attack, ischemic stroke, type 2 diabetes, chronic kidney disease, and fatty liver disease, from a single blood sample, together with Metabolic Age, Metabolic Resilience Score and metabolic biomarkers covering lipids, fatty acids, amino acids, sugar metabolism, and inflammation. PHC's multidisciplinary clinical team uses these results to build a comprehensive picture of metabolic health and to develop targeted, personalised recommendations.
PHC is a UK-based, clinician-led healthcare organisation specialising in metabolic health, personalised medicine, and chronic disease prevention. Its multidisciplinary team combines medical assessment, advanced diagnostics, and detailed health and lifestyle data to understand each client's health in context, bringing a clinically guided, actionable health plan to PHC’s clients.
Nightingale Health's technology strengthens this approach by providing a detailed assessment of metabolic biomarkers and future disease risk from a single blood sample, supporting PHC clinicians in identifying metabolic changes that may not yet have produced symptoms or a formal diagnosis. Where appropriate, results may guide further assessment and personalised recommendations relating to nutrition, movement, sleep, and other modifiable lifestyle factors, with follow-up testing helping clinicians and clients track how a person's health profile changes with interventions.
Dr Omer Khalid and Bilal Khalid, the co-founders of PHC, are keen to incorporate advanced technology and accessible testing to the offering at PHC. Dr Mayoni Gooneratne, Executive Medical Director at PHC, a former NHS surgeon and functional medicine physician with a particular interest in metabolic health, women's health, and chronic disease prevention, will provide clinical leadership for integrating Nightingale Health's service into PHC's healthcare pathways.
"At PHC, we believe that the future of healthcare lies in identifying risk earlier and giving people the knowledge and support they need to take meaningful action. Nightingale Health's technology allows us to gain a much deeper understanding of an individual's metabolic health from a single blood sample. Importantly, we do not look at these findings in isolation: we combine them with the client's medical history, symptoms, lifestyle, and wider clinical data to build a more complete picture of their health. This collaboration strengthens our ability to move beyond a reactive model of healthcare, allowing us to identify emerging risks, focus our interventions more precisely, and help our clients protect their long-term health", says Dr Mayoni Gooneratne, Executive Medical Director, PHC.
"Chronic disease develops silently, long before symptoms appear and the earlier we can see it, the more we can do about it. PHC's clinician-led model puts Nightingale’s detailed, evidence-based picture of a person's metabolic health directly into the hands of the clinicians already guiding patient care. We're pleased to support PHC as they bring this to their clients in the UK", says Teemu Suna, CEO and Founder, Nightingale Health.

About Nightingale Health
Chronic diseases cause around 75% of deaths globally and place a growing burden on healthcare systems. The way to address this is preventive healthcare, but until recently the tools to detect disease risks at population scale have not existed. Nightingale Health has built them. The Nightingale Health Check is a blood-based risk detection test that identifies risks for multiple chronic diseases, including cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, kidney disease, and fatty liver disease, from a single blood sample. It is designed to be applied population-wide, so healthcare systems can identify the people who would benefit most from preventive action before disease develops.
Nightingale Health's technology is validated in over 900 peer-reviewed scientific publications and is used in many of the world's leading health studies, including the UK Biobank. In Finland, the Nightingale Health Check is in nationwide healthcare use, and over 200,000 people have already received their results. Nightingale Health operates globally with a parent company in Finland and subsidiaries in countries such as Japan, the United States, Singapore, and the United Kingdom, and has customers in more than 34 countries across healthcare and medical research. The company's Series B shares are listed on the Main Market of Nasdaq Helsinki and on the OTCQX International market. Read more: https://nightingalehealth.com/
