MAX Power’s Lawson 5 Approaches Key Salt Horizon in 30-km Step-Out Testing Basin Scale Natural Hydrogen Potential
Following a “discovery within a discovery” at Lawson 4, MAX Power is advancing its Natural Hydrogen commercial validation program with a 30-km step-out testing the Prairie Evaporite “trap and seal”.
Detailed planning is also accelerating for an extensive completions program across Lawson targeting flow, volume and Natural Hydrogen concentrations.

REGINA, Saskatchewan, Sept. 29, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- MAX Power Mining Corp. (CSE: MAXX; OTC: MAXXF; FSE: 89N) (“MAX Power” or the “Company”) is pleased to report that Lawson 5 is proceeding as expected with intermediate casing completed yesterday at approximately 1,100 meters (measured depth). The first major horizon of interest within the next several hundred meters will be the Prairie Evaporite, interpreted to be a key trap and seal feature for the accumulation of Natural Hydrogen. At deeper levels, a faulted fracture system controls the basement complex dissolution process of the evaporite salt and will be of intense interest to the MAX Power technical team as it attempts to significantly expand the scale of the Lawson Discovery.
Lawson 5 is a 30-km step-out northeast of Lawson 4 and is testing the potential west-to-east extension of Canada’s first subsurface Natural Hydrogen system all the way from the first four wells near Central Butte to the “Salt Wall” at the edge of the Prairie Evaporite. The “Salt Wall Corridor” continues north-south for 475 km through the MAX Power-dominated Genesis Trend to the Saskatchewan-North Dakota border, further highlighting the potential scale implications of success at Lawson 5.

Why This Matters to Investors
Lawson 5 represents a pivotal test of scale for MAX Power. The first four Lawson wells have progressively defined Canada’s first confirmed subsurface Natural Hydrogen system. Now, approximately 30 km northeast, Lawson 5 is beginning to test whether the geological architecture identified at Lawson extends toward the Salt Wall and into a much larger regional setting. The Salt Wall Corridor continues for approximately 475 km through the Genesis Trend toward North Dakota, while Bracken, approximately 325 km southwest on a different trend, contains multiple prospective Natural Hydrogen and helium zones. Together, these targets are expanding the exploration thesis well beyond the boundaries of a single discovery area.
The bigger opportunity is basin scale. Lawson 5 is testing potential geological scale while upcoming completions at Lawson and Bracken are designed to address the critical commercial questions of composition, flow and deliverability. At the same time, every well expands the proprietary geological, geophysical and reservoir dataset feeding MAXX LEMI. MAX Power is therefore advancing two increasingly connected assets: the Natural Hydrogen opportunity beneath Saskatchewan and the intelligence being built to understand and potentially identify these systems at greater scale.

Amended Marketing Agreement
MAX Power has amended its investor marketing and consulting agreement (the “Agreement”) with RazorPitch Inc. (“RazorPitch”), previously announced in the Company's news release dated September 15, 2026, to expand the scope of services and increase the compensation payable thereunder.
Under the amendment, RazorPitch will provide additional investor awareness marketing services, including digital, social, influencer and broker marketing, together with news amplification services, in addition to the services previously disclosed under the Agreement.
In consideration for the additional services, the Company will pay RazorPitch an additional cash fee of $200,000 USD, bringing total cash consideration payable to RazorPitch under the Agreement, as amended, to $350,000 USD. No securities of the Company are issuable to RazorPitch as compensation under the Agreement, as amended.
All other terms of the Agreement remain unchanged. To the knowledge of MAX Power, RazorPitch and its principals remain at arm's length to the Company and do not hold any securities of the Company. RazorPitch is responsible for ensuring that its promotional activities comply with applicable securities laws and CSE policies.
Engagement of PRmediaNow
The Company has re-entered into a services agreement with PRmediaNow to provide media outreach and communications services aimed at increasing awareness of the Company and its business activities. Such activities will take place to generate editorial earned media coverage with mainstream media outlets, trade publications, podcasts and other media verticals.
PRmediaNow will receive compensation of $5,000 per month for a six-month term, commencing September 1, 2026 and ending March 1, 2027. In addition, the Company has granted PRmediaNow 75,000 stock options exercisable at a price of $3.68 per common share for a period of 24 months from the date of grant, subject to the policies of the Canadian Securities Exchange (the “CSE”).
