MAQS Advokatbyrå AB, with offices in Stockholm, Gothenburg and Sundsvall, is accelerating its transformation with the ambition of becoming one of the leading business law firms in the market. Following several years of strong growth, the firm is moving into new premises at Sturegatan 1 in Stockholm this week. At the turn of the year, it will take a further step by changing its name to Keelion Law.
"I am delighted to welcome our people into the new premises. We've grown considerably in recent years, particularly in M&A, banking and finance, disputes and construction, and we're now taking that growth to the next level. In September alone, we're welcoming ten new colleagues," says Katrin Troedsson, CEO of MAQS Advokatbyrå AB.
Troedsson points to a market that is changing fast, both within the legal profession and across our clients' industries. Business is becoming increasingly complex and international, new regulation continues to emerge, competition is shifting, and an uncertain global backdrop is influencing both decision-making and risk. At the same time, AI is opening new possibilities and reshaping how the firm operates. Together, these developments are placing new demands on legal advisory services.
"To navigate this changing landscape and create opportunities for both ourselves and our clients, we're accelerating our development. We're investing further in AI and new ways of working, strengthening our specialist expertise, and making changes so we can serve our clients even better across international markets. With a new and ambitious strategy, we're taking the next step in the firm's development. The new name clearly signals that shift and our ambitions for the future," says Katrin Troedsson.
From the turn of the year MAQS Advokatbyrå AB will become Keelion Law Advokatbyrå AB
"The new name reflects what we want to be for our clients: a steady, dependable partner as they navigate complex regulation in an increasingly international market, one that identifies the opportunities and helps clients move forward," says Katrin Troedsson, adding:
"It's also a name we intend to build our values into; a firm with an inclusive culture that leads the way in gender equality. Today, 43 per cent of the partners at what will become Keelion Law are women, making the firm one of the most gender-equal in the industry at partner level among firms of comparable size."
