Major investment at Stockholm Arlanda Airport - Condor launches new route with daily departures to Frankfurt
Condor will establish at Stockholm Arlanda Airport in May 2027 with a direct route to Frankfurt. The German airline known for their aircrafts sporting stripes in five colors, will operate Frankfurt Airport (FRA) with two daily departures, further connecting Sweden with mainland Europe and the rest of the world.
- Condor’s investment in a direct route from Stockholm Arlanda Airport to Frankfurt with two daily departures shows a great confidence in the Swedish air travel market. The new route will increase connectivity to Germany and Europe, but also to USA, the Caribbean, Africa and Asia, offering travellers a whole lot of exciting destinations through Condors vast network. Swedavia’s main goal is to increase connectivity and facilitate for people to meet, whether it is for business, leisure or to visit family and friends and Condor plays an important role in this, says Elizabeth Axtelius, Director Aviation Business at Swedavia Airports.
Frankfurt is a financial and commercial hub and the new route will benefit trade between Sweden and Germany. Furthermore, the route will give access to a vast network of destinations spanning across the globe. San Francisco, Vancouver, Johannesburg, Dominican Republic and Phuket are a few of the destinations in Condor´s network that, in addition to Frankfurt and Stockholm, travellers can discover.

Starting on May 13, 2027, Condor will operate Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ARN) – Frankfurt Airport (FRA) two times a day using aircraft from the A320 family with a seat capacity of up to 180 seats.

Since 2024, Condor has also been renewing its entire short- and medium-haul fleet and is expected to receive a total of 43 new aircraft from the A32Xneo family by 2029. Condor will thus operate one of the youngest fleets in Europe in the future.
Condor unveiled its new brand identity in April 2022. Since then, its aircraft have been sporting stripes in five colors: yellow, red, blue, green, and beige. The new design represents Condor's transformation from a classic holiday airline to a distinctive and unique brand that reflects diversity, joy, and freedom.
