Lumera to continue supporting targeted NHS Pension Scheme communications

London, 20 August, 2026 – Lumera, a leading insurtech company dedicated to the digital transformation of the global Life and Pensions industry, today confirms the continuation of its work supporting selected communications and engagement initiatives for members of the NHS Pension Scheme, under an extended agreement with the UK Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) through to March 2027.

The work is carried out in collaboration with NHS Pensions, which leads communications for the NHS Pension Scheme. Lumera provides specialist behavioural science, data-driven communications design and regulatory communications expertise to support some of the Scheme’s most complex member engagement challenges, including the McCloud Remedy.

The NHS Pension Scheme serves 3.86 million members and is one of the largest public sector pension schemes in the UK. Delivering clear communications at this scale often involves translating complex pension legislation and regulations, together with multiple scenarios driven by complex underlying data, into tailored information that members can easily understand and act on. 

Lumera’s partnership with NHS Pensions brings specialist expertise to the most complex communications challenges, helping to ensure highly technical information is communicated in ways that are clear, accessible, and personalised to members’ individual circumstances.
