Global air traffic remains strong despite tensions in the Middle East, rising fuel prices, and higher interest rates.
The global commercial aviation market is underpinned by solid fundamentals and long-term growth prospects driven by demand for new aircraft. This momentum is reflected in the well-stocked order books of the major manufacturers, as demand from airlines continues to outpace their production capacity.
Production rates continue to rise for the Airbus A320 family, with 66 aircraft currently produced per month and a target of 75 aircraft per month by 2027.
At Boeing, the ramp-up of the B737 MAX and B787 programs has also accelerated significantly. At the same time, strong performance in the helicopter, defense, and space segments is supporting demand in the aerospace sector.
The LISI AEROSPACE division surpassed the €1 billion revenue mark in the first nine months of the year, reaching 1,009.4 €M, up 14.3% compared to the same period in 2025. This performance, which benefited from the acceleration recorded in the third quarter of 2026 (+22.5% compared to the third quarter of 2025), is all the more remarkable given that it follows an already strong growth rate of +19.0% recorded over the first nine months of the previous fiscal year.
With a 28.8% increase, the “Fasteners” business in the United States posted the strongest growth at the end of the third quarter. This growth was driven in particular by the ramp-up of Boeing’s programs, led by the B737 MAX. The “Fasteners” business in Europe and the “Structural Components” business also posted solid performances, with growth of +13.8% and +13.3%, respectively, compared to the same period in 2025, despite an unfavorable currency effect.
Excluding the impact of currency fluctuations and the change in scope resulting from the deconsolidation of Ankit (India), the LISI AEROSPACE division’s quarterly revenue posted sustained organic growth of +22.8% compared to the third quarter of the previous fiscal year, which had itself already recorded growth of +23.9%.
These volume increases were accompanied by higher productivity, high capacity utilization, and, consequently, effective absorption of fixed costs.

Global light vehicle registrations fell by -5.0% in the third quarter of 2026 compared to the same period last year. This decline was particularly pronounced in China, with a drop of -18.0%, while the NAFTA region (Canada, the United States, and Mexico) saw a more modest decrease of -0,5%.
Conversely, the European region posted growth of +6.3% (though this growth was largely driven by Chinese automakers).
Revenue for the LISI AUTOMOTIVE division totaled 407.1 €M for the first nine months of 2026, down 5.2% compared to the same period in fiscal year 2025. In the 3rd quarter, revenue was down 7.4% compared to the 3rd quarter of 2025.
Adjusted for currency effects and the change in scope resulting from the consolidation of LISI AUTOMOTIVE Hungary, revenue for the third quarter of 2026 declined by 9.9% compared to the third quarter of 2025. This trend occurred against a backdrop marked by:
The division is thus continuing its transformation by positioning itself in segments that are both promising and profitable, such as braking systems, electromobility, interior trim, and wiring channels, while continuing to adjust its break-even point.
The LISI AEROSPACE division benefits from a strong market position in an aerospace sector that remains particularly robust across all civil platforms, with very good visibility. This position is reinforced by market share gains achieved with major strategic customers, notably thanks to the renewal of major contracts in 2025 and 2026. The helicopter and defense segments are also continuing their excellent performance.
In the fourth quarter, the main challenges will involve increasing production capacity and improving operational efficiency. These initiatives will be critical to supporting the growth in demand, in a context still marked by significant strain across the entire aerospace supply chain.
In a global automotive environment that remains uncertain - marked by profound competitive, geographic, and technological shifts, and with no short-term growth prospects - LISI AUTOMOTIVE is relying on its unique strengths. Its positioning in next-generation vehicles, along with the adjustment of its fixed-cost structure, should enable the company to maintain its competitiveness and strengthen its ability to rebound. Key priorities for the fourth quarter will include:
The aerospace development plan remains the Group’s main growth driver, supported by favorable prospects and solid long-term visibility. The persistent uncertainty characterizing the global automotive market may slow the improvement in overall performance, but this has been factored into the adaptation plans.
The Group reaffirms its objective of significantly improving its key financial indicators for the fourth consecutive year in 2026 - first and foremost, recurring operating income (EBIT) - as well as generating positive operating Free Cash Flow*.
* Free Cash Flow (FCF): net operating cash flow minus net CAPEX and changes in working capital requirements
