KONE Corporation, a global leader in the elevator and escalator industry, has won an order to supply a range of people flow solutions for the new Vista development on London’s South Bank. The project will transform the former ITV Television Centre site into a vibrant destination combining offices, cultural spaces, and public areas.
“Complex mixed-use developments require reliable, efficient and sustainable people flow solutions,” says Karla Lindahl, EVP Europe at KONE. “We are proud to contribute to this landmark project that will create new workplaces, cultural spaces and public areas in one of London’s most dynamic districts.”
Developed by Mitsubishi Estate London Limited with CO-RE and built by Multiplex Construction Europe Ltd, the development will feature two office buildings supported by a six-storey podium with a large roof garden.
The south office building rises to 26 storeys. The riverfront office building has 13 storeys and features a rooftop public restaurant and terrace. Around 40% of the site will be opened to the public, creating new squares and pedestrian walkways. The development is targeting net-zero carbon in operation, as well as BREEAM Outstanding and WELL Platinum certifications.
KONE will deliver 31 units, including KONE MonoSpace® 700 DX elevators, KONE MiniSpace™ HiRi DX double-deck elevators equipped with KONE UltraRope® technology, and KONE Transys DX goods elevators, as well as two KONE TravelMaster™ 110 escalators. The solutions are designed to ensure smooth and efficient people flow across the development, which is expected to serve around 5,700 people daily.
KONE booked the order in Q1 2026. Installation is scheduled to begin in 2027 and expected to be completed in mid-2029.
