IT - INET Nordic - REMINDER: Verification of failover functionality in the INET Nordic Production system
As previously communicated in IT-Notice, Nasdaq Nordic and Nasdaq Baltic invites participants to a site failover test in the INET Nordic Production system on Saturday October 24, 2026. The INET Production system will be available for login only to all client ports; OUCH, FIX Order Entry, FIX Trade Reporting and their respective FIX Drop protocols, and all ITCH related protocols. No markets will be available, and no other type of business functionality will be enabled.
Participants are recommended to take advantage of this opportunity to test their ability to failover to the Nasdaq site B (STOCKHOLM SOUTH) secondary datacenter. Please note that only participants that have connectivity access to site B can participate in this test, i.e. Co-Lo customers with access only to site A (VASBY) can’t participate.
Please note also that NDTS, Fusion Fixed Income and Genium INET Production systems will have a separate failover test on October 3, 2026; for further information please see IT-Notice. GCF is not included in any of the failover tests.

Execution
The INET Nordic Production system will be available for login at 10:00 CEST, in normal configuration mode with site A as the primary site and site B as the secondary/failover site, allowing for connectivity to primary ports at site A, Co-Lo configured failover ports at site A and dual site configured failover ports at site B.
Participants shall login to primary ports at site A to be able to test their failover ability to site B during the test. The markets will be in closed state, with login allowed but no other functionality. Markets will remain closed throughout the test.
At 11:00 CEST, a controlled failover from site A to site B will be performed, simulating a complete loss of INET Nordic on site A. Connectivity to site A will not be available, only failover ports at site B will be available when failover is completed at approx. 11:30 CEST. Please note that you are required to have connectivity access to site B to be able to test and verify your failover capability, hence Co-Lo customers will not have access to their primary and secondary/failover ports in INET Nordic at this stage. Co-Lo customers who have arranged for connectivity between sites, via the Nasdaq Express Connect service or an external connectivity provider, and have dual site configured failover ports/services enabled, can participate in the site failover test.
At 13:00 CEST, the INET Nordic Production system will be shut down and configuration restored to normal operation for Monday.
Communication plan
IT Information messages (IT-Notices) will be sent out only if there are any deviations from the planned times. During the failover test, Nasdaq will communicate with registered participants via e-mail.
Participants are advised to ensure subscription to the ‘IT Information – Cash Equity’ and ‘IT Information – Market Data’ messages. IT Information subscription services are available at https://www.nasdaq.com/european-markets/it-notices.
Registration and Reporting
This year Nasdaq Nordic will be part of the FIA Disaster Recovery Exercise. Participants shall register for the test via FIA DR Exercise Registration webpage no later than October 16, 2026. This will ensure proper contact information is collected that will be used during the failover test.
After the failover test has been completed, we kindly ask participants to report their results to technicalrelations@nasdaq.com using the Report document attached to this IT-Notice. Please send the failover result report at your earliest convenience, but no later than on October 28, 2026.
The result of the test, including member participation, will be reported to the Financial Supervisory Authorities in the Nordics.
